Indian Women in Sports

Dark Light

Indian Women’s participation in sports has a long history. It is a history marked by discrimination and division and one filled with significant accomplishments by Indian female athletes and important advances for gender equality and empowering women and girls.

Sports can be an essential tool for social empowerment through the skills and values learned, such as teamwork, negotiation, leadership communication, and respect for others. Through sports, Women can acquire interpersonal networks, develop a strong identity, and access opportunities, allowing women to engage in school and community life. Participation in sports also enables women and girls to increase their self-esteem and self-confidence.

From one perspective, the importance of a women’s role exceeds a man’s, for she “creates” other human beings and rears them. A society whose women are sufficiently intellectually developed and morally spiritual will attain success & happiness. But a community consisting of ignorant and restricted women will continue to move backwards.

In general, Islam promotes good health, and fitness and encourages both men and women to engage in physical activity to maintain healthy lifestyles with a proper dress code. In India, the barriers to participation for Muslim women are not hugely different from those faced by many other Indian women from different religions and cultures.

In several cultures, and at other times, sports were the preserve of men. It was unladylike to be on the field, kicking a ball, jumping, and getting sweaty. But from the past forward, 50 years and the times have changed. Today Girls are encouraged to get involved in Football, Tennis, Badminton, volleyball, cricket, gymnasium, and many more.

The most considerable development in Indian sports is the recognition of the contributions by Indian sportswomen. Zeeshan Aga

Hi, there & Peace! If we haven't met, my name is Mr Zeeshan Aga, a regular man with three kids, a husband, qualified enough, and a fresh writer from Bangalore City, India. I have been writing at treasurearticle.com for quite a few months. Along the way, I have failed and the same time, accomplished a lot in life. I want to express my thoughts, reveal some simplistic research on various issues and subjects, and share quotes and analyses of famous leaders, intellectuals, and scholars. And shape the articles with reasoning and solutions to benefit and resonate like a guide to the human race. I request God’s absolution and your pardoning in any weakness that my words might have.
